I have created an opening on the sides of the bezel to allow more light to get into the opal, this extra light helps to illuminate the vibrant display of colours that this opal displays. I then oxidised the inside of the craters to create a contrasting black  colour to the polished sterling silver

I have accented the frosted gold with pops of polished gold ontop of the setting where the gemstone has been set
