Pugin Gothic ChasubleOur Pugin Gothic range is made in our exclusive Alton fabric, based on a design by Augustus Pugin. This fabric came to us from a Pugin vestment from St Augustine's Abbey, Ramsgate, and this range is complimented by a re weaving of an original Pugin orphrey braid. This design reflects Pugin's 14th and 15th century influences both in England and the Low Countries. The vestments are lined in cotton sateen and are cut in a semi gothic shape. Also

All of these contribute to achieving a complete and perfect Latin cut

We can see influences of the design in 15th-century textiles currently in The Met collection

A coordinating cope and humeral veil are also available in this range

It can be used for altar palls and vestments alike and is a good festal fabric for all seasons

The red in this range is made in a 100% Wool

The chasuble and stole are available in two lengths: short and regular

For the brass option the pole is in a light wood and for silver plate the pole is ebonized mahogany unless requested otherwise

The range is lined in blue cotton sateen
