Orvis 1874 Trout Fly Reel - ReproductionFor sale here is a 1990's reproduction of the rare C. F. Orvis 1874 Trout Reel. The reel is marked C. F. Orvis Maker, Patented Manchester, VT. Ventilated narrow spool. The diameter is 2 7 8". Mint unfished.
This rod is our largest seller and is a fast rod with a DT-4
The interior bottom is lined with neoprene while the dividers are are soft felt material
oxidized guides and tip top
There is a small hole at the bottom of the butt section sleeve of the bag
providing a snug fit that will keep them protected for years to come
Fair amount of leading remains on the spool and rims
One tip top has a clear agate insert and the other has a red agate insert
mostly salmon - over half of which are gut-eyed
