The varnish job is flawless as Marc is well-known for
The locking ring features the "Sold by Abercrombie & Fitch" stamp as well as the Payne trademark stamp
Black-and-white photographs are by Bob O'Shaughnessy
The nickel plating over brass is still mostly intact
The rod shaft is lettered with "7' #3 86/200"
Comes with its original labeled bag and an aftermarket leather tube
Wrapped 326 red with some typical cracking at the ferrules
(8 x 5 ½)

There is some very minor cracking in the varnish on some of the wraps near the ferrules (we call these casting cracks and love seeing them on the original Payne rods that have been used with care)
