Hardy Uniqua 3 3/8" Fly Reel - circa 1914For sale here is a Hardy Uniqua model 3 3 8" diameter from ~ 1914. A scarce version of the Uniqua. Marked Duplicated MKII but with only one pawl and an earlier ivorine handle. Mechanically the reel is still in excellent condition with a strong RHW check and a very slight amount of end play like most Uniqua style reels. Original smooth alloy foot is original and unfiled. The reel has been polished at some point but remains visually appealing.
The suggested line for this rod is a DT4
Sam Carlson-like delrin check above the grip and a square-to-round grip shape as well
The sale includes a newer Hardy leather case in like new condition
Three up node pattern and flamed cane but this rod predates the "Tiger stripes" used on later rods
