This is the latest creation from Fred Balling who has been working on recreations of a number of classic reels over the years
The varnished mortised reel seat is stained curly maple
The reel is set up for left hand retrieve
The reel is set up for LHW and remains in mint condition
a vintage collapsible gaff made by the German company Schruka
The rod is in mint condition with the exception of a very fine casting crack in one of the ferrule wraps from being lawn cast
and n/s cap and ring reel seat
The blued ferrules retain a perfect fit
Left-hand retrieve only
You can feel every head shake and twist and turn
